Arron is looking to turn around Earlswood’s fortune when the league begins in April 2025. When speaking to us about last season, the recruitment and his hopes for 2025 he said “Last season was obviously a difficult one with the end outcome really not ideal, but it was a learning curve for a side plagued with injuries and severely hampered by the start of season weather. Obviously watching players like Alex Laud, Ben Fitzgerald and Chief play is nothing short of a pleasure and there were some really tough and gritty performances at the end of the season that we can very much take into the coming season.

I’m really happy with our recruitment during the winter. It’s been carefully thought out and in line with the gaps that we identified at the end of last season. Bringing back JK is huge for us and I know first hand how much he brings to a side both on and off the pitch and being able to bring in an overseas player in James McSweeney is obviously a massive plus and gives us something completely different from a left arm spin perspective.

Look, it’s all about application and players taking responsibility for their actions on and off the pitch. It’s something I’m big on and the lads know that. On paper we have an extremely strong and capable side with added strength in depth that we haven’t had in previous years. If we play to the level I know we are capable of doing, we should be very much up there and pushing for promotion in the 1s and 2s.”
