First Session Friday 7th June

Hi all,

I am extremely excited that we can make a start to our All Stars & Dynamo programmes tomorrow evening (assuming the weather forecast is correct).

Both sessions are 6pm-7pm, with registration from 5.30pm+

There is some guidance that we need everyone to follow to make sure we are all safe, and to ensure the pitch is kept in the best state possible to allow cricket to be played, so please read carefully:

• Please keep off the square AT ALL TIMES.

• The outfield is still soft, so please avoid any siblings running around whilst any sessions are taking place – there is also the risk of being hit with balls!

• We used half term to start work on replacing the decking. Unfortunately, this will not be completed in time for use tomorrow evening. This limits seating capacity which isn’t ideal, but please do not take chairs on the outfield – this will leave numerous holes and put Saturday’s game in doubt. There will be some seating on benches, but this is limited. If you have picnic rugs, these will be perfect.

• An email was issued to all participants regarding old equipment. Please note that any plastic All Stars or Dynamo balls should not be brought onto site. Any balls found will be discarded immediately as per guidance from the ECB. If anyone does bring other equipment, please ensure it’s named. ECC cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged equipment.

• The first session is always the most difficult to organise. Please be patient whilst we allocate around 130 children into groups!! We’ll do our best. If children want to be in the same group as their friends, please register them all together. It’s hard to swap groups around once we’ve started registration.

• All Stars Registration will be by the new nets, Dynamos by the scoreboard.

• Everyone involved in running these sessions are volunteers, giving up their own time for the benefit of your children. Please be respectful.

• Junior training is taking place directly after these sessions finish. This is hardball training, so please ensure that all children (and you) are positioned well away from these sessions.

Looking forward to seeing you all – at last!
